In 1976, drought struck Southern California. prompting many local residents to drain their swimming pools. Adventurous adolescent boarders began sneaking into these Empty Pools and riding in them while their owners were at work. This led to a whole new style of riding and the birth of modern skateboarding.

 Decades later, the same drive and desire to create something from nothing motivated two childhood friends from jersey to come together and produce Empty Pools Apparel. 

Founders Kevin Sharrock and Joey Wilson combined their lifelong love for and interest in hip hop, skateboarding, art designs, and independent clothing into a product that crosses all lines and speaks to a wide audience. And as the name indicates, they pay respect to the founders who sparked the culture.
